Quiet Counts for iPhone

Something not working, or a suggestion? Write to hi@biscuitclub.studio and we will get back to you.

Getting started

Choose Box, Unwind or Bedtime, select about 1, 3 or 5 minutes, then tap Start breathing. You get three seconds to settle before the first inhale; this is outside the displayed breathing time.

Follow the words and the count. The bubble expands for inhale, stays still for hold, and contracts for exhale.

Sessions always finish a whole cycle, so the actual length can be slightly longer than the label.

Pause and resume

Pause freezes the guide. Resume gives you three preparation seconds, then repeats the interrupted cycle from inhale. Finished cycles are kept, and the remaining time resets to include the repeated cycle. End session returns immediately to the ready screen.

Leaving the app or locking the phone pauses the session automatically.

Haptics

Open Settings with the button at the top right. Haptics can be switched on or off separately for each breathing pattern, and you can choose Gentle, Balanced or Strong feedback for all of them.

The cues begin with a soft lift and rise for inhale, soften for exhale, and double tap for hold. Bedtime starts with haptics off, so that nothing buzzes as you fall asleep.

If haptics are unavailable on your device, the visual guide still works exactly as before.

Appearance and accessibility

Each pattern has its own soft colour palette. Light and dark appearance follow your iPhone's system setting.

The app follows your text size, VoiceOver, Reduce Motion, Reduce Transparency and contrast settings. With Reduce Motion the guide stays still and a cycle count shows your progress. There is no audio at any point, and completion is always quiet.

Breathing comfortably

Use the counts only while they feel comfortable. Breathe gently, and return to your normal breathing or end the session if you feel uncomfortable or dizzy. If holds do not feel good, choose Unwind, which has none.
